Group 1 Preliminary Exams Held Peacefully In State

The State government today held the Group 1 services' preliminary exams in the State.

A total of 3.8 lakh aspirants applied for 503 posts, and the TSPSC said that 75% of the total aspirants - 2,86,051 of them - appeared for the exams, which went off peacefully.

1,019 centres were set up across the State for the exams, and the authorities took the biometrics of the aspirants before allowing them to write the exam.

The TSPSC said that it would complete the true OMR sheet scanning process in eight days, and release the primary key after the completion of the scanning process.

In Hyderabad, prohibitory orders under Section 144 of the CrPC were promulgated at all the centres.
