TRS leader and MLC K Kavitha today conveyed her condolences to the family of a deceased solider, Degavat Motilal, and assured them that the Telangana government would stand by them.
The 25-year-old jawaan, a native of Megyanaik Tanda village of Mahbubnagar district, had returned home on a holiday after being transferred from Uttarakhand to Punjab.
On December 28, he was injured in a road accident on the NH 44 at Daggi village, near Nizamabad district.
He had been admitted to the Army Hospital in Secunderabad where he succumbed to his injuries, today.
After hearing of the young soldier's untimely passing, MLC Kavitha took to Twitter to convey her condolences to the bereaved family, and told them that the government would stand by them in their time of need.
In her tweet, she wrote, "I am shocked by the passing of Jawan Degavat Motilal of Indalwai, Nizamabad district, who joined the Army for the defence of the nation. I mourn his death. We support the Motilal family in every way."
The TRS government has been conscientious about supporting the families of the soldiers of the state. Last month, it announced that it would give
ex gratia aid of Rs 25 lakh and a 2BHK house to the kin of deceased soldier M Parusharam, a native of Mahbubnagar district, who passed away on December 24 after boulders fell on him while he was on duty in Leh.
