Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao today urged Chief Secretary Rajiv Sharma to expedite the process of carving out new districts in the State.
Rao was holding a high-level review meeting at the camp office with the Cabinet Sub-Committee chairman, Deputy Chief Minister Mahmood Ali, Rajiv Sharma, Chief Commissioner Of Land Administration (CCLA) Raymond Peter and other officials.
The government has already circulated the steps to be taken for carving out the new districts, such as division and allocation of officials, setting up of RDOs, and creating posts for Joint Collectors and other top level officers, and KCR asked the officials to work on them expeditiously.
Upon receiving directions from KCR, Sharma asked the concerned officials to speed up the process of setting up new collectorates, and the offices of JCs, RDOs and others in the proposed new districts.
Sharma also proposed the latest facilities and technology for the offices that are to be set up.
Other issues that cropped up at the key meeting were cadre strength, promotions, new appointments, and the new job descriptions of existing officials and staff members.
