Telangana Pledges Support To Kurnool Bus Accident Victims
Revanth Reddy announced an ex-gratia of Rs 5 lakh for the family of each of the deceased and Rs 2 lakh for each of the injured, from Telangana.

Telangana Minister Jupally Krishna Rao today announced that the State government would extend all possible support to the victims of the private travel bus accident in Kurnool district, in which six people from Telangana died and ten others from the State were injured.
Rao, who inspected the accident site along with Jogulamba Gadwal district officials, conveyed the government's deepest condolences to the families of the deceased.
He added that Chief Minister Revanth Reddy had announced an ex-gratia of Rs 5 lakh for the family of each of the deceased and Rs 2 lakh for each of the injured, from Telangana.
The minister attributed the accident to the negligence of the bus driver, and said that the government would take special measures to prevent such tragedies in the future. He also called for strict adherence to transport department regulations and the appointment of well-trained drivers by private bus operators.
The officials present during the inspection included Telangana GENCO CMD Harish, Alampur MLA Vijayudu, Jogulamba Gadwal District Collector B M Santosh, SP Srinivasa Rao, DSP Mogilayya, RDO Alivelu and MRO Prabhakar.
