Former minister Dr. P Shankar Rao claimed that the collective dream of a separate Telangana state will culminate into reality on Wednesday.
Addressing a press conference at the Congress Legislature party office on Monday, Shankar Rao said that despite all obstacles, AICC president Sonia Gandhi will ensure that the Telangana bill is successfully passed in the Parliament.
He said that the BJP was trying to play politics over the Telangana bill and was giving indications that it might not support the bill.
Shankar Rao also ridiculed the meeting of Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy with Seemandhra legislators on Sunday. He said that only 7 ministers and 27 MLAs had attended the meeting, and that the Chief Minister should now realise his worth in the arena of state politics.
The former minister also said that three "babus" needed to apologise to Sonia Gandhi for their remarks against her,and that they were Kiran "Babu", Jagan "Babu" and Chandra"babu". (INN)
