Former minister Dr. P Shankar Rao has claimed that the Telangana state would be a reality in the next 15 days.
Speaking to media persons, Shankar Rao said that all Seemandhra leaders, including Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy, have failed to stop the discussion in the Assembly on the State Reorganisation Bill. He said that the Centre is on the right track in completing the formalities required for the state's bifurcation, and that therefore, the Telangana Bill would be tabled and passed in the Parliament in the next two weeks.
Shankar Rao also condemned the protest proposed to be held in New Delhi by the Chief Minister and other Seemandhra leaders. He said that the protest would be a direct challenge to the authority of Congress the High Command. He demanded that the Congress HC immediately dismiss Kiran Kumar Reddy from his post. (INN)
