Congress MLCs Jagadishwar Reddy and Indrasena Reddy on Sunday accused their party MPs, ministers, MLAs and MLCs of lacking sincerity and commitment towards the formation of Telangana state.
Talking to media persons at MLA quarters, the MLCs stated the the Telangana leaders were making contradictory statements and therefore giving confusing signals to the party high command. The MLCs further accused their party legislators of making baseless statements on the issue of the formation of a separate Telangana state.
The 2 MLCs opined that the other legislators of the region had seemingly forgotten that their primary responsibility lay towards Telangana.
They asked the leaders to make concrete and united efforts towards achieving a separate state and fulfill the aspirations of Telangana people.
They also opined that if the legislators submitted resignations en-masse from their posts and mounted pressure on the Congress President Sonia Gandhi, the centre would introduce the Telangana bill in the budget session of the Parliament.
