Anakapalle Congress MP Sabbam Hari, on Saturday, resigned from his post in protest against the Centre's decision to bifurcate Andhra Pradesh.
Talking to reporters in Visakhapatnam, Sabbam Hari accused the Congress party of dividing the state for political gains. He said that the ruling party is damaging not only the interests of the Telugus, but also its own prospects of survival in the state. He added that the Congress would never come to power in Telangana.
Describing the decision of bifurcation as painful, Sabbam Hari announced that he would lead a movement for Samaikyandhra. He also slammed TRS chief K Chandrasekhar Rao for asking people from Andhra to leave Hyderabad.
The Anakapalle MP also slammed union minister K Chiranjeevi for advising Seemandhra leaders to abide by the decision of the Congress High Command. He said that if he wished, Chiranjeevi could follow the High Command, but that he was not authorised to advise others to do so. (INN)
