KCR Directly Monitoring Flood Relief Operations
Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao today organized more relief and rescue officials for the rain-hit areas of Telangana.

In view of the ongoing floods that have paralyzed the functioning of the State, Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao today directed officials to plunge into action and provide relief to the rain-hit areas of Warangal, Khammam and other districts expeditiously.
The Chief Minister, who is closely monitoring the situation, asked the irrigation ministry and the disaster management department to coordinate with the district officials, and shift the villagers and their livestock from the flooded areas to safer places.
He told the officials that he wanted utmost efficiency in dealing with the situation, and asked them to ensure that he did not receive a single complaint from villagers regarding negligence.
Stating that Khammam was the worst-hit region and that a river near Bhadrachalam had almost reached the danger mark, the Chief Minister asked the district administration to be extra-vigilant.
Around 8 lakh cusecs of water flowed downstream from the Nizamsagar and the SRSP projects, and the Indravati river, KCR said.
He also urged the people of the nearby villages to heed the officials' instructions.
