TDP MLA and BC Welfare Association chairman R Krishnaiah on Saturday announced that he would undertake an indefinite hunger fast from January 22 demanding the immediate release of the fee reimbursement dues from the Telangana government.
Speaking to media persons, Krishnaiah said that about 100 leaders from various BC organisations would also participate in the hunger strike.
He criticised the Telangana government for not releasing the fee reimbursement dues to the college managements for so long.
He said that the Andhra Pradesh government had not only cleared the old dues, it had also completed the process of receiving fresh applications.
Accusing Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao of playing with the careers of students, he said that he would continue his hunger strike till the Telangana government cleared all the dues towards the fee imbursements. (INN)
