Six students fell ill today after having breakfast at a tribal welfare hostel in an Ashram school located in Yellur village of Penchikalpet mandal, Komaram Bheem Asifabad district.
According to officials, the affected students - Shashi, Anjanna, Karthik and Johnson from Class X; Suresh from Class IX; and Sammaiah from Class VII - began experiencing symptoms of vomiting after their meal at around 10:30 am. They were promptly shifted to a hospital in Kagaznagar, where their condition is reported to be stable. They are currently under medical observation.
The students at the institution raised concerns over the poor quality of food served at the hostel. They urged authorities to implement measures ensuring adherence to quality standards as per the government-approved menu. They also alleged negligence on the part of the school administration in managing the hostel's operations.
