Telangana Extends Ban On Gutkha, Pan Masala

The Telangana government today issued orders banning for one year the sale and manufacture of gutka, pan masala, chewing tobacco and related items.

The Telangana government today issued orders banning for one year the sale and manufacture of gutka, pan masala, chewing tobacco and related items.

In a press release, the Commissioner of Food Safety said that the ban would be effective for one year from Jan 10, and warned of serious action if manufacture, sale, storage and distribution of gutkha, pan masala, chewing tobacco and related items took place.
