The state government today increased the registration and service fees for various services offered by stamps and registration department.
The registration charges for societies and chit funds are among those that have been increased - the fee for the registration of a society has been increased from the current Rs. 500 to Rs. 2,000, and the document filing charges for societies have also been increased from the current Rs. 300 to Rs. 1,000.
The charges for the registration of the agreement of sale documents and GPAs have also been increased - from the current Rs. 2,000 to Rs. 5,000.
The maximum charges to offer these two services has been fixed as Rs. 1 lakh.
Then, the charges for the registration of the properties at the house of the vendor have been increased from the Rs. 1,000 to Rs. 10,000 per document. And such vendors who wish to have their registration process completed at their homes will have to pay Rs. 1,000 additionally if they have more than five family members who will execute the documents.
The state government has also fixed the private attendees' fee for those above the age of 75 years and the handicapped, at Rs. 5,000.
The fee for registration of documents on holidays has been fixed at Rs. 5,000 per document. And the registration charges for the registration of a will have been fixed at Rs. 3,000.
The revised charges will come into force on Thursday.
For the unversed, the state government had also increased the land values of non-agricultural properties and the stamp duties on them recently.
