TEJAC Chief Swamy Goud was arrested when he went to express solidarity with the employees of Gandhi Hospital who were participating in the ongoing Telangana general strike.
The City Police on Friday arrested Telangana Employees' Joint Action Committee Chairman Swamy Goud when he went to express solidarity with the employees of Gandhi Hospital who were participating in the ongoing Telangana general strike.
He was shifted to Chilkalguda police station, and was released later.

Telangana Rashtra Samithi president K Chandrasekhar Rao and Telangana Political Joint Action Committee chairman Prof. M Kodandaram have condemned Swamy Goud's arrest, and warned the police of serious consequences if other Telangana leaders were arrested.
Describing Swamy Goud's arrest as 'undemocratic', KCR and Kodandaram said that in a democracy everyone has the freedom to express his opinion and support anyone he wishes.
