Telangana Employees' president Swamy Goud announced that the agitation for Telangana statehood would continue until the Centre announces a roadmap for the formation of a separate state.
Telangana Non-Gazetted Employees Union president Swamy Goud on Saturday announced that the agitation for Telangana statehood would continue until the Centre announces a roadmap for the formation of a separate state.
Talking to media persons after holding a meeting with TNGO office-bearers of 10 districts, at TNGO Bhavan, Swamy Goud said that the employees would not agree for anything less than the grant of statehood for the Telangana region.
He said that the meeting of the employees' leaders was held to discuss the Maha Dharna to be organized next week. He said that the future course of action on the agitation would be announced after a discussion at the Telangana Political Joint Action Committee meeting at Lotus Pond.
Swamy Goud appealed to Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy, Deputy CM Damodar Rajanarasimha and former PCC President D Srinivas to prevail upon the Congress High Command to make a favourable decision on Telangana statehood.
Swamy Goud also recalled the services of Raj Bahadur Goud, who passed away on Friday, for the cause of Telangana. (INN)
