Health Minister Danam Nagender on Wednesday exuded confidence that the Congress party will capture the majority of the 12 assembly constituencies for which voting was held on Tuesday.
Talking to media persons, Danam scoffed at the 'survey' conducted by Vijayawada MP Lagadapati Rajagopal, which said that the sitting MLAs would be re-elected.
The health minister said that he was sure that the Pradesh Congress Committee chief D Srinivas would capture the Nizamabad (Urban) constituency while the party nominees would capture the Yellareddy, Chennur, Sircilla and Koratla constituencies.
He said that it would be a tight race between the Congress candidates and the opposition in the rest of the constituencies.
