Telangana Doubles Quarantine Period For Coronavirus

The Telangana government today extended coronavirus quarantine period from the existing 14 days to 28 days.

The government also instructed that coronavirus tests be conducted only for primary contacts and not secondary contacts.

The government issued orders and guidelines in this regard.

Since 14 days of quarantining measures were not proving enough to eliminate the virus, the time period was doubled, the government said.

The government also directed that those in home quarantine for 14 days should remain so for another 14 days.

The officials were instructed to take appropriate measures to ensure the 28 days of quarantine.

The orders come at a time when the cases in Telangana are close to hitting 1,000.
