The coronavirus pandemic is on the rise once again in Hyderabad.
In a disturbing incident, a 14-month-old infant boy tested positive for Covid-19 at the government-run Niloufer Hospital.
Hospital Superintendent Usha Rani said that the boy's condition was however stable.
The child was admitted to the hospital on December 18 with pneumonia, and presented with cough, cold and difficulty in breathing, she said. Covid tests were being done for all pneumonia cases, and the boy tested positive for Covid-19, too, she added.
The samples were sent for testing on Wednesday and the result came on Thursday, she said. However, the boy's parents did not have any symptoms of Covid, she said.
