Deputy Chief Minister Dr T Rajaiah on Monday admitted that five deaths had been reported across Telangana due to swine flu this year.
Speaking to media persons, the Deputy CM said that a total of 141 cases of swine flu had been reported in Telangana.

He said that the second phase of the polio drive would be launched on January 22. He added that the World Health Organisation had declared Telangana as a polio-free state.
Stating that vacancies in the health department would be filled soon, the Deputy CM assured that total transparency would be maintained in the recruitment process. He said that there would be zero tolerance to corruption in the health department across Telangana.
