In view of the outbreak of the coronavirus COVID-19, the Telangana High Court today issued instructions to the subordinate courts in the state to avoid footfalls in court complexes.
The district courts and other subordinate courts were instructed to entertain only urgent matters, and the members of the Bar were requested to advise their clients not to visit the court premises unless it is very essential and unavoidable.
And to take up the urgent matters, "virtual court rooms" have been created in every court complex, which will see advocates and prosecutors argue matters before the court concerned.
Many judicial officers are utilizing the virtual court rooms, which is enabling the dispensation of justice to be carried out despite the current situation.
The High Court is also planning to hearing urgent matters through virtual courts itself from Monday.
