The Telangana Congress has decided to stage dharnas in front of the houses of those who desert the Party in the future.
Speaking to the media at Gandhi Bhavan along with party leaders Dr Sravan, Chirumarthi Lingaiah and Bollu Kishan, TPCC vice-president Mallu Ravi said that the Congress had decided to stage dharnas in front of the residences of leaders who won the election on the plank of the Congress but deserted the Party.
The Party cadre would organize rallies and dharnas against, and burn the effigies of, such leaders.
He said that the Party would take up these activities as a movement.
He also said that the Party had also decided to bring it to the notice of the Chief Minister, the Home Minister and the DGP if any ruling Party leader blackmailed any Congress leader using the police.
Also finding fault with Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao for giving interviews saying that political corruption was 100% eradicated in Telangana, Ravi asked KCR whether giving a minister post to TDP MLA Talasani Srinivas Yadav was not political corruption.
He also asked the CM whether giving a Rajya Sabha seat to D Srinivas, a Congress leader who had joined the TRS, was also not political corruption.
He said that during the TRS' two-year rule, political corruption had in fact increased by 200%.
Sravan demanded that Chief Minister bring the Chief Minister's post under the ambit of the Lokayukta, and said that only then would people one believe that there was no political corruption in the State.
He also challenged KCR to a debate on political corruption if the latter was confident of his own statement.
Ravi also vowed that the Congress would wage war in case the TRS government closed schools in the name of rationalization.
Also condemning Union Minister Bandaru Dattatreya's statement that the Congress was dead in Telangana, Ravi said that the Congress would come to power in 2019 by winning the elections with a thumping majority.
