The Congress has decided to hold a massive public meeting named Praja Garjana in the Chevella Assembly constituency on August 26.
AICC president Mallikarjuna Kharge will be the chief guest at the public meeting.
The decision to hold the public meeting was taken at a TPCC extended meeting held at Gandhi Bhavan chaired by TPCC president Revanth Reddy. AICC State incharge Manikrao Thakre, AICC incharge secretary Mansoor Ali Khan, MP N Uttam Kumar Reddy, AICC secretary and party MLA D Sridhar Babu and TPCC publicity committee chairman Madhu Yashki Goud took part in the meeting.
Speaking to media persons after the meeting, Reddy said that the party would release its SC and ST declaration for the State at the public meeting.
He also that the party would hold constituency-level meetings on August 24 and 25, and release a Minority Declaration for the State on August 29 in Warangal district.
Talking about the proposed OBC and women's declarations of the party's Telangana unit, Reddy said that the party had decided to constitute two sub-committees to prepare the two declarations, and that party leader Priyanka Gandhi would be invited to release the women's declaration. He also said that the party's manifesto would be released from the hands of the party leader Sonia Gandhi.
