The Leader of the Opposition in the Telangana Legislative Council Mohammed Ali Shabbir on Monday accused Chief Ministers N Chandrababu Naidu and K Chandrashekar Rao of hoodwinking the people of their respective states for political gains.
Speaking to the media at the CLP office, Shabbir Ali alleged that both of the CMs had some kind of "match-fixing" arrangement.
He pointed out that Naidu's company Heritage Dairy had published a huge advertisement on the front page of Namasthe Telangana, a Telugu daily owned by KCR and his family members.
He said that the advertisement, published in Monday's edition, was exclusive to Namasthe Telangana, and no other newspaper had the same advertisement.
"Does it not indicate some kind of match-fixing between KCR and Naidu?" he asked.
Shabbir Ali pointed out that KCR had earlier accused Naidu of causing damage to state-owned dairy companies like Vijaya Milk to benefit his personal company Heritage Dairy. (NSS)
