Claiming that the TRS government had "murdered" the idea of a democratic nation by arresting Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) leaders who were protesting peacefully, TPCC chief N Uttam Kumar Reddy today said that arresting peaceful protestors was horrifying, and that the incident was a major embarrassment for the State in front of the Prime Minister of India.
Reddy alleged that the TRS government was enforcing its "fascist" rule in the State by suppressing the fundamental rights of the people.
In his letter addressed to the PM, the TPCC president urged him to take serious note of the TRS government's "totalitarian" attitude towards its people and Opposition.
