The Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee will organise massive celebrations on June 2 to mark the formation of the Telangana State.
Speaking to media persons at his residence in Hyderabad, former MP G Vivek said that the TPCC would organise functions in all the villages and towns to celebrate the formation of Telangana.
Admitting defeat in the recent elections, he said that the Congress party had seen such phases several times in its history. Therefore, the Congress leaders were neither upset nor demoralised.
He said that the Congress would remain among the people and raise their issues.
Vivek said that the Telangana Congress leaders would brief the people about the sacrifices made by the AICC President Sonia Gandhi in granting statehood to the Telangana region.
He said that staying in power was not everything for the Congress, and it had proved this several times. (INN)
