Will Destablise Govt: T Cong Leaders

Senior Congress leaders from the Telangana region have threatened to destablise Kiran Kumar Reddy if the Centre fails to grant statehood for the region.

Talking to reporters after participating in the Hyderabad Liberation Day celebrations on Saturday, Congress MP Gutta Sukender Reddy said that the survival of the state government would be in doubt if the Centre fails to decide on Telangana.

Investments Minister Komatireddy Venkatreddy on Saturday warned the government that Telangana activists would seize all National Highways if it fails to take a "favourable" decision on the creation of Telangana by the end of September.

Unfurling the national and Telangana flags at the District Congress Party Office to mark Telangana Liberation Day, the minister said that he would to submit his resignation letter directly to the Governor in October.

He also said that he would not allow Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy, Pradesh Congress Committee president Botsa Satyanarayana and Congress leader K Chiranjeevi to move anywhere in the Telangana region, since they support the idea of a united Andhra Pradesh. (INN)
