Senior Congress leaders on Friday thanked Congress president Sonia Gandhi for the Union Cabinet's nod to the Telangana Bill.

Addressing a press conference, minister D K Aruna, former ministers Dr. P Shankar Rao and T Jeevan Reddy and MLC P Sudhakar Reddy said that despite several obstacles, Sonia Gandhi had cleared the way for the formation of Telangana.

They said that the Congress president had courageously resolved a six-decade-old dispute. They said that the people of the region would remain indebted to Sonia Gandhi for her favourable decision. (INN)
