Former minister Dr. P Shankar Rao, on Thursday, lodged a complaint with Congress president Sonia Gandhi, against the styles of functioning of chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy and Pradesh Congress Committee president Botsa Satyanarayana.
Talking to media persons after meeting Sonia Gandhi, Dr. Shankar Rao alleged that Kiran Kumar Reddy was acting as an agent of YSR Congress president and Kadapa MP Jaganmohan Reddy. He said that he had asked Sonia Gandhi to take serious action against the chief minister for damaging the image of the party and the government.
Dr. Shankar Rao added that he had also demanded action against the Central Bureau Of Investigation for acting in a partisan manner without initiating a probe against Home minister Sabitha Indra Reddy.
"Why did the CBI not question Sabitha Indra Reddy in connection with the Obulapuram mining issue although it arrested former Excise minister Mopidevi Venkata Ramana Rao in the VANPIC case?" he said to mediapersons.
He also appealed to Sonia Gandhi to accept the resignation of Roads & Buildings Minister Dharmana Prasad Rao, who the CBI had named in its chargesheet as the fifth accused in the disproportionate assets case of Jaganmohan Reddy. (INN)
