The Telangana PCC extended solidarity with Nizamabad district Collector Yogitha Rani on the verbal attack upon her by TRS leaders.
Speaking to the media at Gandhi Bhavan on Sunday, TPCC chief official spokesperson Dasoju Sravan said that the ruling party MLAs and public representatives had lashed out at Yogitha Rani in a Zilla Parishad meeting for her examining the quality of the developmental works after their completion.
The TRS government was transforming Telangana into another Bihar with its attitude towards honest bureaucrats doing their jobs, he said.
He alleged that the ruling party leaders were against the district Collector for her trying to curb sand smuggling by installing check-posts.
"The verbal attacks by the ruling party leaders against the Collector are undemocratic and unconstitutional," he stated.
He also deplored the State government not reacting to the allegations that a minister was behind the suicide by sub-inspector Ramesh Naik in the Rangareddy district.
He expressed fear that Telangana may outshine Bihar in the mafia's activities.
