Throwing a challenge at the Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao to re-conduct Assembly elections if he had confidence that the TRS party would come to power once again, former MLA Turpu Jayaprakash Reddy aka Jagga Reddy made a bold prediction that the Telangana Congress would win 70 to 80 seats if elections were to be conducted this time around in the State.
Speaking to the media at Gandhi Bhavan on Saturday, Reddy refuted KCR's claim that the Opposition parties would win not more than 7 or 8 seats if the elections were conducted now. The TRS government, MLAs and ministers were facing a loss of confidence from the voters, he claimed.
He mocked KCR for staying at his farm house.
"KCR will not allow his own MLAs to meet him, let alone the people and leaders of the Opposition," he quipped.
