TPCC president A Revanth Reddy today said that the Congress would hold agitation programs on the issue of unemployment in the state from the next month.
Speaking to the media at Gandhi Bhavan, Reddy said that the party had successfully highlighted the problems of the dalits and the tribals of the state through its Dalitha Girijana Dandora program over the last month, and would concentrate on unemployment next.
He said that the agitations on the unemployment issue would be held from October 2 to December 9, and would be termed Vidyarthi Nirudyoga Jung Sairan.
Reddy said that the dreams of the Telangana martyrs were not fulfilled in CM K Chandrashekar Rao's rule. KCR had promised to offer free KG to PG education and a job to every household of the state in his party manifesto for the 2014 elections, but did not fulfill those promises after coming into power, Reddy claimed. He alleged that the CM had in fact even closed down many government schools in the state. There was also no recruitment of teachers in the TRS regime, he added. All of these had massively aggravated the unemployment problem in the state, and continued to make it even worse, he claimed.
The agitations would give an opportunity to all the affected and concerned people to give voice to their feelings using the Congress platform, Reddy said, and invited the people to participate in large numbers.
