Telangana Congress leaders on Tuesday advised Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao to avoid his confrontationist attitude with the Centre.
Speaking to media persons, former MPs Ponnam Prabhakar and G Vivek, and former minister S Rajaiah, said that KCR's unilateral decisions were hurting the interests of the Telangana people.
They said that instead of confronting the Centre, KCR should focus on making effective representations by taking the Opposition Parties into confidence.
They also accused the Telangana BJP of having surrendered before Union Minister M Venkaiah Naidu and of damaging the Telangana cause.
They alleged that the TDP and the BJP had entered into a secret pact over the issue of the granting of special powers to the Governor in the joint capital area of Hyderabad over the law & order.
They said that the Congress and even the TRS had assured total protection for the Seemandhra people living in Hyderabad. However, the Centre was not ready to trust the Telangana government, they alleged. (INN)
