The Telangana cabinet gave its clearance for the sale of lands within the HMDA limits today, which will to enable the government get about Rs 10,000 crore in revenue.
Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao today chaired the cabinet meeting at Pragathi Bhavan.
The meeting, which commenced at 4 pm, was continuing till late in the evening.
The cabinet has also decided to hold a "Revenue Sammelan" at Shamshabad on February 28 to explain to the people the salient features of the new Revenue Act proposed to be enacted as part of the administrative reforms and provision of better services to the people.
The government is keen on bringing in the new Revenue Act during the budget session likely to start in the first week of March. The cabinet is expected to decide on the exact dates of the budget session, too, today.
All the ministers and officials concerned were present in the cabinet meeting.
The Chief Minister is also reported to have spoken his mind on the controversial CAA and on passing a resolution in the budget session of the legislature, opposing it.
The cabinet has also reportedly decided on filling up 2,000 vacant posts in different departments.
The cabinet reportedly discussed many other key issues including irrigation projects, modern farm practices, Pattana Pragathi in districts, and need-based allocations for the development programs.
