Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao has hinted that he would be expanding his Council of Ministers soon.
KCR gave an indication to this affect while addressing a gathering after laying the foundation stone for the construction of the Girijan and Adivasi Bhavans at Banjara Hills on Thursday, when he promised that a legislator belonging to the Scheduled Tribes would be given representation in the State Cabinet.
According to sources, the Chief Minister may induct five more ministers into his cabinet in the 3rd week of January.
He is also planning to fill the posts of Chief Whip and Whip in the TRS Legislature Party.
The top contenders for ministerial berths in KCR's cabinet include Tummala Nageshwar Rao (Khammam), Konda Surekha (Waranagal), A Indrasena Reddy (Adilabad), Juppali Krishna rao (Mahabubnagar) and Ajmeera Chandulal (Waranagal). (INN)
