Union Minister Of State For Social Justice P Balram Naik on Thursday claimed that the Telangana Bill would be tabled in the Parliament by December 7.
Talking to reporters here, Balram Naik said that the roadmap for bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh to carve out Telangana state would be finalised on November 7, during the next meeting of the Group of Ministers (GoM) on Telangana, in the national capital.
Naik said that he hoped the Telangana Bill would be tabled in the Parliament during the monsoon session by December 7.
It may be mentioned that so far, the GoM on Telangana met twice on October 11 and 19th respectively, and has held discussions on various issues including the sharing of resources like water and energy between Telangana and Seemandhra regions, after bifurcation.
The GoM had also sought department-wise detailed reports on bifurcation.
The GoM was constituted following decision by the Union Cabinet on October 3 to bifurcate AP to form a separate Telangana state. (INN)
