The Telangana bandh on Friday, called by the Telangana JAC, hit the twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad quite bad.
The bandh was called in protest of
Thursday's events that unfolded after a youngster Yadi Reddy committed suicide allegedly for the cause of Telangana statehood. The JAC is miffed that the government did not allow Telangana protagonists to pay homage to Yadu reddy's body at AP Bhavan, Delhi.
Traffic was scanty in the morning, and shops and stores were shut. The few malls that were open in the morning shut down by lunch time.
There weren't many APSRTC buses plying on the roads, as the APSRTC called off its services after agitators broke windows and deflated tyres of some buses.
The worst-hit were probably the people who had banked on new releases
Singham,
Kodi Punju and Amayakudu, for theatres didn't screen their morning shows today.
