Violence At Osmania University

Apparently, other than Kodanda Ram and a couple of other, no politician turned up at Osmania University to pay his respects to Venugopal Reddy.

Venugopal’s body was being taken to Assembly in a procession, when the police came to control the situation. Students there have revolted against police, even throwing stones at them. The police then resorted to a lathi charge. In the process, a police vehicle was set on fire. The ladies' hostel on campus was the centre of the incident, which has led to much violence in the area.

Earlier, the post-mortem of the body was conducted under a tent right at the place where the body was found. Students had vowed to keep it on campus until all Telangana leaders resign.
