Petrol, Wine Shops Bandh

Wine shops and petrol bunks will be closed on Saturday, as part of the ongoing Telangana bandh.

The Osmania University Students' Joint Action Committee on Friday called for a bandh of petrol bunks and wine shops in the twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad on Saturday, to participate in the ongoing general strike of Telangana government employees.

The OU JAC, which met at the university campus on Friday, gave a call to wine shop owners and petrol bunks to shut down their business activities on Saturday.

The OU JAC said it took this decision as part of its plans to intensify the ongoing agitation for statehood and to mount pressure on Centre to announce its decision on Telangana without further delay. (INN)
