Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) working president Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka fumed at the State government for not continuing the special Legislative Assembly session despite demands from the Opposition.
Speaking to the media after the Business Advisory Committee (BAC) meeting, Vikramarka said that the Congress demanded that the public issues be discussed in this session itself, but the ruling Party chose to end it.
"The northern Telangana region is under drought. We thought that KCR would allow the issue to be discussed in the House. It is unfortunate that he didn't. The CM told the Opposition that the House would be confined to a single day as he wanted to beef up security forces in the Hyderabad for Ganesh Chaturthi," he said. "When the Andhra Pradesh government can convene the Assembly session from September 8 despite the festival, why can't KCR do the same?"
