Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao today expressed concerns over the Telangana Congress and the TDP boycotting the House, and said that the government was ready to accept suggestions and constructive criticisms from the Opposition parties.
Speaking in the Legislative Assembly session, the Chief Minister said that coming to power and losing it was a routine in the Parliamentary form of democracy, and no Party, whether winning or losing, should make such attempts to boycott an esteemed institution.
Reacting on the Opposition's absence in protest against KCR's claim that the Opposition was hindering the progress of irrigation projects including Mallanna Sagar, the Chief Minister requested the Congress and others to come back and join the debate on the issue.
"Yes, we are ready to debate and discuss the issues even if it meant extending the House. But for that, the Opposition needs to participate," KCR appealed.
Speaker S Madhusudhana Chary also urged that the abstained Opposition parties attend the House and participate in the debates.
