Telangana Assembly Elections On Nov 30, Counting On Dec 3
The Election Commission announced the schedule for the Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Mizoram, Rajasthan and Telangana Assembly elections in New Delhi today.

The 119-member Telangana Legislative Assembly will go in for elections on November 30, and the counting of votes will be done on December 3.
The Election Commission of India (ECI) announced the schedule for the Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Mizoram, Rajasthan and Telangana Assembly elections in New Delhi today.
The Telangana Assembly elections will be held in a single phase, and the notification for the elections will be announced on November 3. The last date for submitting nominations will be November 10, the scrutiny of applications will be held on November 13, and the last date of withdrawing of candidature will be November 15. The election process will be completed on December 5.
The total number of electors in the State is 3.17 crore. There are an equal number of male and female electors - 1.58 crore each. About 8.11 lakh people are going to cast their votes for the first time.
A total of 35,356 polling stations will be set up in Telangana - 14,464 in the urban areas and 20,892 in the rural areas. On average, there will be 897 voters in each polling station. Webcasting arrangements have been made in 27,798 polling stations (78%).
For the first time in Telangana, there will be a facility this year for all senior citizens aged 80 and above to vote from the comfort of their homes. The facility will also be extended to persons with disabilities - those with 40% or more disability.
