The budget session of the Telangana State Legislative Assembly may begin from the second week of March.
According to sources, the budget session may begin between March 9th and 13th, and will last till March 31st.
Finance Minister Etela Rajender will be presenting his second, and Telangana's first full-fledged, budget, for the financial year 2015-16.
Last year, on November 5, he had presented the Telangana State's first budget, for 10 months.
The first full-fledged budget is likely to give more clarity on the new State's financial position in terms of revenues and expenditure.
Although the State Government had presented a budget of over Rs 1 lakh crores, so far it has been unable to release even half the amount, apparently due to a shortage of funds.
However, by the time of the presenting of the next budget in March, the government may offer more clarity on its finances. (INN)
