Telangana Rashtra Samithi Secretary-General K Keshav Rao on Tuesday announced that the separate statehood movement would continue till the actual formation of a separate Telangana state.
Talking to reporters here, Keshav Rao said, "There is no question of halting the Telangana movement till the formation of a separate state."
He also warned the Centre against making any change in the status of Hyderabad after separation. He said that the Telangana people would agree only for a Telangana state with 10 districts and Hyderabad as its capital.
Rao stressed the need for unity among the parties in the Telangana region. He said that the Centre has agreed to give Telangana due to the sacrifices made by hundreds of martyrs. He also said that the bifurcation of the state was like the separation of 2 brothers in a family, and both could live happily after the division. (INN)
