The Telangana Anti-Corruption Bureau on Wednesday issued a notice to Kondal Reddy, car driver of TDP Activists' Welfare Fund coordinator Nara Lokesh, in connection with the Revanth Reddy note-for-vote case.
It is learnt that two ACB officials visited AP Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu's house to question Kondal Reddy, one of Lokesh's convoy drivers, for his link in the case. As Reddy was not available at Naidu's home, the sleuths headed for the TDP party office to enquire about his whereabouts. The agency then left a notice asking Reddy to appear before it for interrogation in the case.
Earlier, the ACB officials had questioned the car drivers of Revanth Reddy and Sandra Venkata Veeraiah, too, in connection with the case.
It may be recalled that the ACB sleuths had already questioned Telangana TDP leader Revanth Reddy, Sebastian, Udaysimha, Sattupally TDP MLA Sandra Venkata Veeraiah, TDP MLC candidate Vem Narender Reddy and his son Krishna Keerthan Reddy, Gimmy Babu and others, before the pace of investigation slackened. It gathered momentum again after the forensic science lab sent its final report to the court.
For those who came in late, Telangana TDP leader and Kodangal MLA Revanth Reddy was arrested by the ACB on May 31 when he was handing over Rs 50 lakhs as bribe to nominated TRS MLA Elvis Stephenson to make him vote for the TDP-BJP candidate in the Telangana Legislative Council elections. Reddy got bail after spending nearly one month in jail.
