As the political slugfest between Chandrababu Naidu and KCR reaches its climax with the ACB all set to issue notices to the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister in the Revanth Reddy note-for-vote bribery case, Telangana and AP Governor E S L Narasimhan today left for the national capital.
Narasimhan is to meet Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh at around 11 am, and may discuss on the controversial Section 8 issue and the note-for-vote case that has beseiged the two Telugu states.
A section of the media was abuzz with speculation that the Centre is pondering replacing Narasimhan with a senior party leader like Najma Heptullah.
It is being stated that the AP leaders who have been seeking Narasimhan's head for some time, are now piling on the pressure on the Centre to replace him, and the BJP leadership may prefer Heptullah for the top post.
It is also being said that KCR has reportedly asked the ACB to serve notices to his AP counterpart avoiding delay. If that is the case, then Naidu may have to turn up to give his version on the voice alleged to his in the audio tape in the note-for-vote scam.
It is at this critical juncture that the Centre has summoned Narasimhan to Delhi, and is likely to offer a solution to the issues. (NSS)
