Voicing an uncomfortable truth, former minister in the TDP government in united AP Uma Madhava Reddy stated that the TDP chapter in Telangana was closed.
In an informal chat with journalists in the Telangana Assembly lobbies on Friday, Reddy also said that she would have been okay with moving to the Congress, but nobody from the party had approached her about that.
Revanth Reddy might have gotten a clear assurance from the Congress, but nobody had invited her, she said.
"I would have caught the same flight as Revanth Reddy had I got any clear assurance. Earlier the TRS leaders had also invited me to join them. I will think seriously now if the offer comes again," she said.
She also said that she had met Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao along with party MLA Sandra Venkata Veeraiah today with regard to house sites to be given to the families of victims of Naxal attacks, including herself.
It may be mentioned here that rumours have been afloat since several days that she was leaving the TDP and joining the Congress. Political observers thought that she would join the Congress along with Revanth Reddy.
