TDP Won't Merge With TRS: Revanth Reddy

TDP Working President A Revanth Reddy declared that his Party would launch a massive protest against the TRS government for its "anti-people" methods.
Hyderabad | 9th February 2017
Telangana TDP Working President A Revanth Reddy declared that his Party would launch a massive protest against the TRS government for its "anti-people" methods.

Slamming the news report published in Sakshi newspaper that the Telangana TDP was sending feelers to the TRS for a merger, Reddy asserted that the TRS was his Party's prime nemesis and they would strive hard to unseat Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao for all his "misdeeds" and "anti-people" policies.

Soon after returning from New Delhi, the TDP leader launched a tirade against TRS and KCR and claimed that while people had sacrificed everything in the Telangana movement including their jobs and properties, KCR was amassing wealth, launched his own newspapers and television, and acquiring hundreds of acres of personal property.

He reminded that the Chief Minister joined hands with the Congress in 2004 and then ditched it, and similarly in 2009, he had allied with the TDP in the name of Grand Alliance and later dumped it, too.

Reddy went hammer and tongs against KCR by alleging that due to the latter's "anti-farmer" policies, the distressed farmers were forced to commit suicides.

He also announced that the Telangana TDP would begin a people's movement from February 11 to expose the bad policies of the TRS and KCR.

"Our Party's main objective is to free Telangana and its people from the autocratic regime of KCR," he said, and added that there was no question of the TDP trying to align, let alone merging with the TRS.
