Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu on Monday predicted that the Praja Rajyam Party (PRP) and the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) will merge with the Congress party in the state.
He said that in this scenario, the TDP will be the only alternative to the Congress.
The TDP president was speaking after welcoming Thota Naveen, erstwhile PRP leader from East Godavari, and his supporters, into the party fold.
Naidu said that the state government was more interested in filling up the treasury than taking care of the farmers. He said that ruling party leaders were running after money, and that it was left to the wine dealers to fix prices of liquor. He added that Congress leaders would not hesitate to sell the entire state for money.
