Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and TDP National President N Chandrababu Naidu today said that the inception of the Party itself was meant for the welfare of Telugu people and the TDP is committed for the welfare of its workers.
Speaking at the Telangana TDP general body meeting, the AP Chief Minister recalled the TDP's performance while Andhra Pradesh was still united, and said that it was his Party that created awareness in all sections of Society.
Naidu said that the Party was in national politics as well and expressed hope that it would get recognised by Northern States someday.
A good leadership and constructive role would only pave the way for good results in elections, he opined, and added that he would work more for the Party in Telangana to help strengthen it.
Speaking on the occasion later, Telangana TDP President L Ramana, who presided over the meeting also, said that the Party was going strong in the State due to the relentless work of its supremo for the welfare of the poor and weaker sections. The TDP had been playing a pivotal role in the reconstruction of Telangana.
Senior party leader E Peddi Reddy stressed the need for a strong leadership. "Let all Party leaders and workers relentlessly strive to strengthen it right from the grassroots, that is, from the rural level," he said, and urged Party members to take up a membership drive.
