» TDP Slams Jagan's Fast Against Telangana Irrigation Projects
TDP Questions Jagan's Jala Deeksha
The TDP alleged that Jagan had gotten the Palamuru - Rangareddy contract awarded to his orderlies, and was now making a hue and cry when this got exposed.
Andhra Pradesh minister Devineni Umamaheshwara Rao today said that he wanted to know why YSR Congress Party chief Y S Jaganmohan Reddy had launched his "Jala Deeksha".
The minister asked whom Jagan wanted to deceive with his 3-day fast.
The YSRCP president was merely trying to create obstacles for the development of the State, Devineni alleged.
The State was facing many problems due to the misrule of the late YSR during the united Andhra Pradesh days, and now Jagan was trying to cover up his father's misdeeds, he said.
While Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu was busy with taking up various developmental works in the State, Jagan was resting in air-conditioned rooms and coming out once every six months, he said, and alleged that Jagan had gotten the contract of the Palamuru - Rangareddy project awarded to his orderlies, and was now making a hue and cry when this got exposed.
For those who came in late, Jagan today launched his Jala Deeksha at Kurnool alleging that the TDP government had failed to stop the construction of projects by the TRS government in Telangana. Jagan claims that he aims to mount pressure on Chandrababu Naidu to take steps to stop the projects being taken up by the Telangana government across the Krishna river.
